Testament of Moses 4
1
Then there will arise against them a king from the east, and his horsemen shall overwhelm their land.
2
And he shall burn their colony with fire, and the holy temple of the Lord he shall lay waste, and he shall carry away all the holy vessels.
3
And he shall cast out all the people, and he shall take them to the land of his nativity.
4
And he shall take away the two tribes with him, and the ten tribes shall spread among the nations in captivity.
5
And the two tribes shall cry unto the Lord and say: O Lord, Thou art righteous and all Thy judgments are according to truth.
6
For Thou hast dealt with us and our fathers according to Thy mercies and Thy longsuffering.
7
For Thou art the Most High God, who reignest over all the earth, and there is none who can resist Thy hand.
8
For all things come to pass according to Thy will, and all power is subject to Thee.
9
Consider and have mercy upon us, and deal us not according to our sins but according to Thy mercy.
